Tab Stop Issue

Tab Stop issues: I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2019.012.20040 and created a PDF fillable form with tab stop issues (Issue 1) Will not tab to page 3 after page 2.  My field tabs are numbered 1-42 on page 2. After completing all of the fillable fields, there are two locked text boxes.  Rather than tabbing bringing me to page 3 after tab stop 42, it goes back to tab stop 1 on Page 2.

How do I make "tabbing" take me to page 3 after page 2 is completed.  (Issue 2) Lines made with the Comment>draw line tool act as tab stops. How do I get them to not act as tab stops? For border lines on each page of the form, I used the "Comment" toolbar. Ex:  Opened COMMENT and then used "draw line."  Now after I tab through every fillable field (complete though page 4), tabbing goes back and stops at each border line and treats it as a tab stop.

How to turn off rounding and display only two decimal points

Hi,

Is there a script that will turn off rounding and only show two decimal points?  I’m working on a worksheet that calculates a student GPA , and I need it to truncate after the second decimal point.  For example, instead of 3.236 rounding to 3.24, I need it to show as 3.23.

Thank you.

Text Field in interactive PDF exported from InDesign has blue fill and red stroke??

I have made a form in InDesign - Interactive for PDF.

When I export the PDF and view it in Acrobat Pro DC the interactive text fields have a red stroke around the boxes and have a pale blue fill.

Screenshot 2019-09-05 at 15.50.31.png

The way I have formatted them in InDesign is to have no fill, with a black stoke around the box. It displays like this only when the text field is active - Ie you have clicked it and are typing inside.

Screenshot 2019-09-05 at 15.50.38.png

Is there a way to make it so it shows this formatting, rather than the red an blue, even when the text field is not active?

Many Thanks!

I have a basic form that gets manually inputted by field. If a person has multiple BookIns those are listed together. I have a javascript that calculates the datediff +1 as shown in the attached screenshot. I need help with a Javascript that will look at the bookin # or CaseNo fields and if empty/null total the "BT Days Credit" amounts in "Total BT Credit" for that row. Please see my screenshot below:

This will apply to whole form, which has 30 rows. Below is a  screenshot of field names:

I have a pdf lease agreement which I fill in numerous fields.  When I fill in a field, the type is too small, but I can't see a way to increase the font.  How would I change the font size of text that I enter into a field (Acrobat Pro DC)?

How to I add a hand drawn option for the signature field?

Hello! I've set up a form in Acrobat Pro DC using the 'prepare form' tools. The document has multiple fields including text entry fields and tickboxes. At the end of the form i've added the 'digital signature' field. When sending the form out it seems that the only option for the signature field is to type out the name - I would like to have the option for the user to hand draw their signature using the mouse or trackpad. Does anyone know how to add this feature?

Thanks for your help!

Fillable form not keeping text formatting

$

Hi!

Hoping someone might be able to help me.

My client wants to be able to edit various text fields themselves (not ideal I know) in artwork I have created (they do not have access to Indesign). I have created the artwork in Indesign CC 2019, and exported it as a PDF. In Acrobat Pro I have then set the text field properties to how I want them to be (size, colour, alignment etc).

I have then saved the PDF as a Reader Extended PDF (selecting the "enables more Tools" option).

My problem is when the client is inputing text, the text properties do not seem to have been saved from what I set them to (eg heading size is incorrect). I have gone back into my editable PDF file and double checked all the settings in the text properties and they seem to be correct.

I have included a screenshot of how the file should look on the left, and a screenshot of the file where the client has input some text (the main heading is tiny!).

Any ideas of what I may be doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Linked Textboxes in Editable Form, or Additional Script

Screen Shot 2019-09-05 at 11.05.15 AM.png

Making an editable form and I have one of those areas where each letter of a name has to be typed out individually. Now, I have this set up so that each form has a custom script that forces it to the next box if the current box can't fit the letter.

if ( event.fieldFull || event.willCommit ) this.getField("C2").setFocus();

This allows the user to type freely. However, I have two issues:

1. For some reason the user has to type each letter after the first letter twice in order for it to register, it's as if the current field requires you to enter finalize the current letter before the script forces it to precede. Is there a way to make it so the user can truly type freely as if the text forms are linked?

2. Spaces. Spaces just do not register. In order to input a space, you have to physically click into or tab to the next box you'd like to access. Any way to make spaces register as text?

Thanks!

Fillable Form "Submit" Button Not Working

The "submit" button on one of the fillable forms that we use for our department brings up the error "An error occurred while sending mail. If you are not sure how to proceed further, you can save your form and return it manually using your internet email service." It is set up to send to one email through outlook. This only happens with a few of our staff members, it works perfectly fine for me. Any ideas what may be happening?

Calculated values greater than $999.99 dispaly as $1.#R. How do I get this to stop?

Calculated values greater than $999.99 dispaly as $1.#R. How do I get this to stop?

I have created a PO form with fillable forms. There is a quantity column, unit price column, and total price column. The total price is a calculated field based on the values put in quantity and unit price. The total price  simplified field notation under the calculate tab is: QUANTITYRow1*UNITPRICERow1 . When no value is entered in the quantity or unit price fields, the value displayed in  total price  is $0.00. My boss wants that box BLANK until something is entered into quantity or unit price. To do this, I found a solution in the forums to change the format of total price  from "number" to "CUSTOM". I then had to add in a Custom Format Script to tell it to stay blank until a value is calculated, and when a value is calculated, to include a "$" since we're dealing with price. HERE'S MY ISSUE: with that custom format script, any calculated total price value greater than $999.99 displays this instead: $1.#R.  This is not acceptable as majority of the purchases made using this form will be in the thousands and tens of thousands. The only solution I found on these forums is to "make the field box wider" - well that didn't work; or, "make the font size smaller or set to auto" - well it's already set to auto and making the font size smaller didn't fix it either. There has to be a way for the calculated field to stay blank until a value is calculated, and to display calculations greater than $999.99. Why does this have to be so complicated? This is the custom format script I used:

event.value = (event.value != 0)?util.printf("%,0.2f",event.value):"";

if (event.value) {

event.value = "$" + util.printf("%,0.2f", event.value);

}

Multi Line Calculations

I have a form I am trying to do multiline calculations.  I have done the simple calculations; add this line to this line and place the total here.  But I need to subtract from the total and I am having a hard time writing the variable, if I even need to write one.  I am trying to subtract the decreased, zero-out, and close-out BPO from the current BPO Amount and show the balance in "Proposed New BPO Amount".  Any help would be appreciated.

How to make Sum Field stay empty until a total exists

Hopefully this is my last ridiculous question with this editable PDF I've been working on, but is there a way to have the Total fields stay entirely empty until a quantity is entered?

Basically, I'd like to have the totals only show content if there is a quantity, this way the PDF could still be printed blank.

I have a summary field that I need to calculate other fields (that hold values from other calculated fields), but I only need to calculate the fields that are above a certain amount. Some of these amounts will be negative, which I need a script that can ignore negative numbers.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

how to make a text field roll over to an additional page if required?

$

I have created a pdf form in Acrobat Pro 2017. The first page of the form is a standard 'fill in' page of text/date fields. The second page needs 3 separate text fields that may, given the amount of text input, continue on a second page. Is there a way using javascript to do this action? The completed form will be used by personnel using Acrobat Reader.

Thank you
