How can I search multiple PDF files to see if a form field is used in them? I've tried Adobe Acrobat Standard DC's "advanced search" but it only seems to search for form text and not form field names.

I would like to create forms in Adobe. I had a livecycle program back in the day. I believe when we upgraded our machines to Windows XP, it was no longer compatible! Anyway, I would like to start creating and updating our forms. Do I need an updated version of livecycle? Is there any other way to create forms (from scratch) in adobe?

How can I autopopulate form fields in only one direction?
I'm working on a form that requires auto population in one direction only. For an example:
Use types info in a field on page 2
On page 3, a corresponding field is populated with the same data
User edits the field on page 3, but it doesn't change what was on page 2
Right now, I am working with duplicate fields, so when the user changes a field on P3, it also updates P2. I don't want this functionality.

Can i make my custom tools the default for each document?
Acrobat has once again stymied my workflow by making it more difficult to find and do things in the (new to me now) DC version. I may try to find that elusive Acrobat XI disc and go back to using the desktop version, if possible. Anyway, i would be grateful if someone could help me with the following:
I simply want my Custom Tool menu to be the default, and to open automatically for each and every PDF. Anyway to keep from having to choose my custom tools every single time i open (or even re-open!) a PDF document to edit. Many thanks.

Submit button not working on PDF form
I have created a fillable form using Acrobat DC and added a submit button to save the PDF to a directory on my WebServer. However, each time I click submit, nothing happens, no error message is displayed, any ideas?

Fillable pdf CO tax form 104 won't save my data
The Colorado state tax form 104 is a fillable pdf form, and it allows me to enter data, but it won't save it. The save button brings up the save dialog, allows me to select a folder and filename, and appears to work. But then, after closing the form and reopening it, the form is blank again. I receive no warnings or errors. All my data is just gone when I reopen the file.
Also, the vertical scrollbar is missing, and no option will bring it back, even setting "Touch Mode" to "Never" which usually does the trick.

The problem happens with both the 104FormOnly.pdf and 104Book.pdf. I'm using Windows 10, with the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC, 2015.023.20070.
This problem does NOT happen with the federal f1040.pdf and f1040sa.pdf forms. I'm able to fill those forms and save them. And the vertical scrollbar is there.
Please tell me what is wrong with these CO tax forms. It's driving me crazy! Is it some option I need to set on my side, or is the Colorado government providing faulty forms?
And if Acrobat Reader is not going to actually preserve the data when I save the form, why doesn't it give me a warning message or something?

How can I make radio buttons all select or some select in a group if needed

I am an inexperienced Adobe user (Adobe Acrobat X Standard) and I am working on a PDF form that reports on patient training outcomes. I discovered that check boxes do not fax and transmit well via our fax server....due to DPI distortion. It was suggested that I change all boxes to radio buttons. However, I have not been able to figure out how to make it possible to select all or some buttons in the group if needed. PLEASE any help is greatly appreciated!! The list of items that the user would select looks something like this:

Beginner question - font size in a fillable form
I'm a beginner using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Working on a fillable form prepared by our state government. Had success with it in the past but since yesterday the font size is too big to allow all the needed text to fit in any cell. How can I adjust the font size. I've tried using the comment tool but font size choice doesn't "light up". I tried going into preferences- content editing - font size... HELP?

radio button field properties
Odd question ,but then aren't they all.
Sometimes when I add radio buttons, I click add, drop it on my form....then a yellow properties box opens up to edit the properties.
For some reason mine does not always do that. No I put down 1 radio button, I then have to go add another....instead of the using the link on the properties box.
Anyone have this issue?

PDF pages go blank
When using adobe acrobat pro dc and I leave a pdf open and untouched. The page I am viewing goes blank as well as the next couple of pages.
I have to close out adobe and restart my machine. Otherwise any other pdf I open will have random blank pages in the file.
I have already reinstalled from the web site. Ran repair on it. Yet the issue continues. Any help would be great

Extract a First Name from a field containing a Full Name
Hi there, I have been searching everywhere and can't find a script for what I need.
I have a text field containing a full name, I need to extract just the first name. The names are simply separated with a space, but how do I get just the first name?
I have a text box where a user types in the full name eg. John Michael Smith. I need to create a custom text box to display just the first name of John.

Error message when combining pdf documents
I am trying to combine multiple emails with attachments that have already been converted to pdf. When combining, the emails disappear but the attachments remain. The error message says to contact the person who originally converted the document but the same message is received from all users. What's going on? It worked fine a few days ago.
